At Spruce Dental of Port Orange, we’re proud to be a family-owned dental practice, built by longstanding members of the community — not a corporate office.

With over 40 years of combined dental experience, our family has been caring for local smiles with integrity, consistency, and a genuine commitment to relationships. We believe dental care should feel personal, trustworthy, and rooted in the community — not rushed or driven by corporate quotas.

Meet Dr. Toma

Approach

Dr. Toma believes great dentistry starts with listening. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and comfort level before recommending care. Whether someone needs preventive treatment, clarification about options, or a second opinion, he focuses on clear communication and a calm, respectful experience. His goal is to remove stress from dental visits and make every patient feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.

Credentials

Dr. Toma’s journey to dentistry is rooted right here in Port Orange. Originally from Egypt, he grew up in this community, attended Spruce Creek High School, and graduated through the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program. He went on to earn a Biology degree from the University of Central Florida, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at A.T. Still University, along with a Certificate in Public Health with a Dental Emphasis. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association, staying current with the latest advancements in patient care.

Personal

Outside the office, Dr. Toma enjoys playing soccer, working out, and spending time at the beach. These passions inspire his approach to dentistry—teamwork, perseverance, and a focus on overall wellness. He encourages patients to see oral health as part of a bigger picture of confidence and well-being.

Community Involvement

Spruce Dental is proud to partner with Beville Dental Care in South Daytona to support local veterans in the Daytona Beach community. Together, our teams provided free dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions to veterans in honor of Veterans Day. Giving back is an important part of our mission, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help those who have served our country.
